DATA
KACCRRA’s data department collects statewide data on the supply of licensed child care, parents' requests for child care arrangements, and services provided by child care resource and referral agencies. The department also provides technical assistance and guidance related to technology which impacts data collection efforts and documentation of R&R services. Through a variety of projects, publications and collaborations we work to maintain our reputation as a reliable source of child care data and information on child care issue.
The KQRIS Year-End Date Report provides information about child care quality collected through the Kansas Quality Rating and Improvement System. Data is provided at three different levels: statewide, CCR&R service delivery area and county. Data is organized in two ways: all programs and by program type. If you would like additional information about the data included in the report, please contact Jennifer Hecker, KQRIS Director.
KQRIS Year-End Data Report
2008 Referrals: 18,977 new families were assisted with child care referral services during 2008, representing 29,548 children needing child care. Many of these families called for assistance more than once during the year or had called in previous years and needed additional assistance. This report does not reflect those duplications.
2008 Technical Assistance: KACCRRA member CCR&R agencies are extensively involved within the communities of their service delivery areas, offering technical assistance to child care providers, community partners and families. Materials are distributed to families looking for child care and community resources, to businesses and agencies who work with families or providers or who need assistance in working with employees who have young children, and to providers needing resources on business, children’s activities, growth and development and a multitude of other areas.
