Reports completed through data collection and research, collaboration with other agencies, and dissemination of information are intended for advocating for children and families as well as for child care providers. Through research and data collection, reports support the effectiveness of programs such as T.E.A.C.H. Early Childhood® KANSAS and WAGE$® KANSAS. Information provided by KACCRRA to the National Association of Child Care Resource and Referral Agencies (NACCRRA) is utilized in National Reports, such as the Child Care in America: 2008 Fact Sheets and We Can Do Better: NACCRRA's Ranking of State Child Care Centers Standards and Oversight .

Midwest Research Consortium
The Midwest Child Care Research Consortium is a Child Care Partnership funded by the Child Care Bureau, U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration on Children, Youth and Families and the Ewing Marion Kauffman Foundation, Kansas City, Missouri, for 3 years, from 2000-2003. The Consortium focuses on studies of the child care workforce, quality and parent perceptions across the four Midwestern states in Region 7 (Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and Nebraska). Researchers and program officers in state departments work together to define issues relating to quality and the nature of the workforce, design research to assess key questions and interpret findings.
